Vanessa Negron, the creator of Rompzz, is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she worked and taught in the fashion industry. In 2014, Vanessa got married and moved to Brooklyn, New York for love. Starting her life in Brooklyn was both scary and exciting, while still searching for a “homey” feeling, she found a sewing studio called Brooklyn Stitchery close to where Vanessa lived. As soon as Vanessa walked in, it felt like home. Eventually, Vanessa was hired as a sewing and pattern drafting instructor for both children and adults. “Working there was such a great source of inspiration”, says Vanessa. Sewing gave Vanessa what she needed and craved. It felt familiar. Vanessa began making clothes for her nieces and nephew because she wanted them to remember how much she loves them. This re-sparked her love of sewing and designing, and Rompzz was born. Love brought Vanessa to Brooklyn. Love is in every garment she designs and makes. Love is what inspires Vanessa. “Love is Rompzz”.
